Westfield Citrus Park Mall Is Welcoming Several New Tenants

CITRUS PARK - A major sporting goods dealer and a wine store are among several additions to Westfield Citrus Park this spring and summer.
Dick's Sporting Goods is set to open a 50,000-square-foot store today on the northwest side of the mall, on Citrus Park Drive between Sheldon Road and Gunn Highway. A grand opening is planned for March 31.
"Dick's has such a wonderful reputation up north that I know they're going to be a wonderful addition to the mall," said mall spokeswoman Mary Ellen Norton.
The store's opening will coincide with the opening of a Dick's Sporting Goods at Westfield Brandon.
Officials of the Pittsburgh-based sporting goods company declined to comment.
In addition, Oldsmar-based Cork & Olive is set to open at the mall in April, after the opening ofits Carrollwood store this month at 10019 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
The store sells wine and spices from around the world, allowing customers to sample the products before they buy.
"They feature 10 to 12 wines every week that are available for tasting," Cork & Olive spokeswoman Tracey Locke said. "The whole idea is you should buy what you like, and how would you know what you like unless you taste it first?"
Locke said she expects the mall will be a good location for the chain wine dealer.
"It's a growing area," Locke said of Citrus Park. "A lot of traffic goes through there, and it's a great site for retailers."
Having a wine dealer will add to the mall's diversity of shops, Norton said.
"It's a fabulous addition to the center," she said. "We don't have any wine offerings in the center. It makes us much more versatile in terms of what we can offer our customers."
This summer, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is scheduled to open opposite Rice & Company at the main entrance. The California-based restaurant features more than 100 options for handcrafted beers, pastas, pizza and desserts.
