Jose Gaspar’s True Treasure Revealed
Ye Mystic Red & White Made In Spain, Made For Tampa Bay
Tampa, FL January 15, 2007 The Last Buccaneer, Jose Gaspar, is known for prowling the waters off Tampa Bay between 1789 and 1821. Legend has it that he buried his treasures from 400 captured ships all along our coast. But his greatest treasure may be the legacy his family left behind in Spain. From the heart of wine country in Aragon, Spain, Jose Gaspar’s true treasure is revealed. Jose Gaspar’s Ye Mystic Red and Ye Mystic White are wines made in Gaspar’ homeland and made for the city that has celebrated his spirit of piracy since 1904.
One of Spain’s largest and most renowned wineries, Grandes Vinos Y Viñedos, produced Jose Gaspar. The labels reflect local landmarks including the spires of University of Tampa. Each year, the vineyard will produce a unique label for collectors.
It is brought to the U.S. market for the first time by Tampa-based importer World Wineries. Jose Gaspar is available in bars that cater to the discerning pirate and several wine retailers for a limited time during Gasparilla celebration. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle will benefit Lamplighters.
