Cork&Olive® Opens at Countryside Mall

Sip Some Wine, Shop for Shoes, all in one trip.

 

Tampa, FL February 8, 2007  Cork&Olive® opens its 10th Tampa Bay shop at Westfield’s Countryside Mall today, just in time for Valentine’s Day.  Located at 27001 US Highway 19 in Clearwater, the Cork&Olive® will be on the southside side of the shopping center near Ruby Tuesdays. The opening marks a first for the wine retailer and Tampa Bay. This is the first time a wine retailer has opened in an indoor mall setting.

 

While this is a first, it will not be the last. Cork&Olive® is slated to open at Westfield’s Citrus Park Mall in the spring of 2007.

 

Not far from Countryside Mall, Cork&Olive®’s first neighborhood shop opened at 2534 North McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater in 2004. The continued success of that store has led to the opening of nine other corporate owned stores in Tampa Bay and franchise sales in Orlando, Lakeland, Sarasota, Bradenton and Naples. At the same time, the neighborhood shop experience has grown the preferred customer database to more than 33,000 people.

 

“Opening in a mall setting will reach a wider demographic. We plan on catering to their buying needs by expanding our products with more of an emphasis on wine related gifts, flavored salts, seasonings and our line of imported olive oils.” said Stephanie Nelson, Cork & Cork&Olive®’s Director of Operations.

 

Of course some things at the 3300 square-foot shop will be the same. Cork&Olive®’s signature tasting table will remain open all-day everyday, so mall shoppers can try wine before they buy it.
